There was a time, not too long ago, when staying local wasn't a choice, it was the only real viable option.  Times have changed much in the last couple of decades.  I still remember purchasing clothing at the Clothes Tree and when there was a store in Spa.

My reason for writing is not to revisit the good ol' days, but merely to make this point:  leaving Russellville and Logan County to get what you need is still a choice, not a neccesity.  The small businesses and chain stores that we have in our town still meet all our basic needs, but we have an advantage that I'll cover later that many don't think of.
